At the beginning of the 21st century, upon seeing the difficulties faced in the use of the municipal abattoir that culminated in its closure by Organs sanitary agencies, Mr. José Antônio de Lima and his children yearned to see a slaughterhouse in Boa Esperança that would meet all their needs that the consumer demands from the retailers and wholesalers of this commercial branch. Thus began the search for a land that would meet the most diverse requirements of health entities at the federal, state and municipal levels, and coincidentally or not, the only area that met the sanitary resolutions is where FRIESP is located today and whose property he belonged to the family of Sr. José Antonio who avidly sought, unabated, to overcome all the difficulties that were obstructing the construction of the slaughterhouse. Unfortunately, on September 22, 2006, an accident tragically killed the patriarch of the Reis Lima family. It was then that the widow D. Vera Lucia Reis Lima and the couple's three children: Cristiano, Marcelo and Maurício, already fully incorporated into their father's project, decided they would not stop and moved on, always respecting their father's memory. After four years, on July 3, 2010, they inaugurated the Esperança – FRIESP slaughterhouse, for the eyes of the family and people of Boa Esperança. Currently managed by the brothers, Mauricio Reis Lima (President – Grupo Friesp), Marcelo Reis Lima (Director of Logistics – Grupo Friesp) and Cristiano Reis Lima (Commercial Director – Grupo Friesp).
Maurício, who told us the story of FRIESP, was moved when he spoke of his father, of the union of the brothers through the support of Dona Vera, in the realization of the project
